The agriculture subject section will cover the following topics:
- 1. General Agriculture: Agriculture and its importance in national economy.
- 2. Agronomy: Major Crops of MP, Agrotechniques of major field crops of MP, Farming systems and sustainable Agriculture, Introductory Agro Meterology, Agro-climatic and Agro-ecological zones.
- 3. Soil Science: Soil and its composition and its role in crop production, physical, Chemical, and biological properties of soil. Essential plant nutrients, their function and dynamics. Integrated nutrient management, Problem soils and their management.
- 4. Soil and Water Conservation: Soil and water conservation, Watershed management.
- 5. Plant Physiology: Absorption, translocation and metabolism of nutrients, Photosynthesis and respiration, Growth and development, growth regulators.
- 6. Crop Improvement: Elements of genetics and plant breeding as applied to crop improvement.
- 7. Horticulture: Package of practices of important fruit vegetable Spices and economically important flowering plants, Nursery management and propagation methods of horticultural crops. कृषि विषय के अनुभाग में निम्नलिखित टॉपिक शामिल होंगे:
- 1. सामान्य कृषि (General Agriculture): राष्ट्रीय अर्थव्यवस्था में कृषि और इसका महत्व।
- 2. सस्य विज्ञान (Agronomy): मध्य प्रदेश की प्रमुख फसलें, मध्य प्रदेश की प्रमुख फील्ड फसलों की कृषि तकनीकें, खेती प्रणालियां और टिकाऊ कृषि, प्रारंभिक कृषि मौसम विज्ञान, कृषि-जलवायु और कृषि-पारिस्थितिकी क्षेत्र।
- 3. मृदा विज्ञान (Soil Science): मिट्टी और इसकी संरचना तथा फसल उत्पादन में इसकी भूमिका, मिट्टी के भौतिक, रासायनिक और जैविक गुण। आवश्यक पौधों के पोषक तत्व, उनके कार्य और गतिशीलता। एकीकृत पोषक तत्व प्रबंधन, समस्याग्रस्त मिट्टी और उनका प्रबंधन।
- 4. मृदा एवं जल संरक्षण (Soil and water conservation): मृदा एवं जल संरक्षण, वाटरशेड प्रबंधन।
- 5. पादप कार्यिकी (Plant Physiology): पोषक तत्वों का अवशोषण, स्थानांतरण और चयापचय, प्रकाश संश्लेषण और श्वसन, वृद्धि और विकास, विकास नियामक (growth regulators)।
- 6. फसल सुधार (Crop Improvement): फसल सुधार के लिए लागू आनुवंशिकी (genetics) और पादप प्रजनन (plant breeding) के तत्व।
- 7. उद्यानिकी (Horticulture): महत्वपूर्ण फल, सब्जी, मसाले और आर्थिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण फूल वाले पौधों की खेती के तरीके, बागवानी फसलों का नर्सरी प्रबंधन और प्रसार विधियां। समस्याएं (अफलता, एकांतर फलन, फलों का गिरना आदि) और शारीरिक विकार तथा उनका प्रबंधन। फलों और सब्जियों का कटाई उपरांत प्रबंधन और मूल्यवर्धन।
- 8. पादप संरक्षण (Plant Protection): महत्वपूर्ण फसलों को प्रभावित करने वाले महत्वपूर्ण कीट और बीमारियां तथा उनका प्रबंधन। एकीकृत कीट और रोग प्रबंधन के घटक। स्प्रे उपकरण, उनका चयन और रखरखाव। कृंतक (Rodent) प्रबंधन। कीटनाशक उपयोग के दौरान सुरक्षा एहतियाती उपाय।
