  • Area: Increased from 1321.04 Lakh Ha in 2023-24 to 1375.46 Lakh Ha in 2024-25.
  • Production: Increased significantly from 3322.98 Lakh Tonnes in 2023-24 to 3577.32 Lakh Tonnes in 2024-25.
  • Yield: Improved from 2515 Kg/Ha in 2023-24 to 2601 Kg/Ha in 2024-25.

2. CEREAL CROPS

A. Rice

  • Area: Increased from 478.28 Lakh Ha (23-24) to 512.67 Lakh Ha (24-25).
  • Production: Increased from 1378.25 Lakh Tonnes to 1501.84 Lakh Tonnes.
  • Yield: Rose from 2882 Kg/Ha to 2929 Kg/Ha.

B. Wheat

  • Area: Increased slightly from 318.33 Lakh Ha to 328.04 Lakh Ha.
  • Production: Increased from 1132.92 Lakh Tonnes to 1179.45 Lakh Tonnes.
  • Yield: Improved from 3559 Kg/Ha to 3595 Kg/Ha.
